Now, for something completely DIFFERENT! ;)

Whoo hoo!! Finally the "Westcoast" tank is up and running!! Can't wait to see all those colourfull nemmies & urchins you'll be collecting. I'll have to come and look...

Many thanks Riyad - LOL.... ask the okes (like Jaak) who have seen this tank before..... it was my "small" APTAISIA FARM. Currently, I can probably count the aptaisia on one hand. The cold water will SURELY limit their growth and reproduction, as it also reduces the aptaisia's metabolisms.

Jaak - you more than welcome to mate. Tank is still a wee bit sparse, but yesterday was a very successful urchin, and cushion start collecting day. I was not TOO successful with the cold water nemmies.
One get's the MOST awesome cold water anemone's - perhaps sometime, I can get me some strawberry jewel anemone's too! ;)

It's just a REAL bugger collecting the anemone's, because I don't want t kill them by trying to remove them from the rocks. And them rocks are just UNBELIEVABLY hard.

Next time, I am taking a "gwarra" with me ;) (now - who all knows that funny word? ;))

Are we allowed to use those tools - I heard even if caught with a chisel and hammer its worse than committing murder - Everything can be confiscated and you locked up and the keys thrown away!

Apparently with those tools in hand Parks and Recreational officers see only one thing - you there to damage the reefs and shoreline - I even was once told to put back sandstone because it was damaging the enviroment by taking them from the beach (dry dead rocks) or face a hefty fine if I didnt comply! When I showed them my permit they used the same line on me - it says fish and livestock - nothing about rocks so they was giving me a hard time! I just put it back quietly!

jacquesb so i see you winning the battle with the aptaisia..awesome..

gwarra :confused1::confused1: i think it is some type of kaapie lingo...

jacquesb a gwarra is a dance, the dance that the coons do new years day...but not too sure on that...

Spot on! at your'lls Cape Coon Carnival also the nick name of a musical instrument and slang used if people are fighting and arguing with one another but without hate and malice - just a very heated debate! (Like how it gets here on the forum - differences in opinion are voiced but without predjudice and hate - We GWARRA here on MASA)

In the farmland of Newcastle it keeps you out of trouble if just gaining general knowledge passes your time away - surfing the net, stealing passages from the wifes library books and just getting to know people from all over helps!

Jacquesb - I noticed most of our local kzn fish dont have nice tempers towards LFS and imported fish - Is it the natural Africa animal instinct in them or is it just the fish we find are in their nature to be aggro towards imported inmates - also besides the temp differences what about the "lifestyle" of yourll's local fish compared to kzn coast buggers!
