A Beautiful place!
Hi guys, got an sms saying that I won R55 000 on the Nokia year end promotion. I have to buy 3 x R180 MTN airtime vouchers and sms the numbers to the person they give to activate my winning ticket.

Is this a scam or real?

lmao please DONT SMS THEM YOUR AIRTIME lol what a chancer .delete that message immediately and dont ever fall for a stupid scam like that again!

NOKIA WILL NEVER WANT YOUR AIRTIME ETC ETC ETC its just a big scam trust me.:)

So you already won but you still have to buy something?
Sounds like "you may already have won $999999999999 in the uk lottery/community chest/etc" stuff...

Maybe buy the airtime, use it, then send the numbers :p

This is what the sms said:

Congratulations!! Your no. was among the lucky winners on the NOKIA YEARLY PROMOTION. You won R55,000. Ticket no 12345. Call xxxxxx on 123456. for your cash prize immediately from 08 am to 06 pm.

Ticket no, name and number withheld from my side incase this is real then no one can claim my so-called money :whistling:

I spoke to the one guy, aparently after you bought the airtime, send them the numbers, they activate your winning ticket. Then you need to pay R4500 to release the R95000 - so called insurance :whistling:
Funny that the first sms said I won R55000 and the second R95000 - both Nokia promotions.
I went on Nokia's website - most people there say it's bull@$!t

Scam, without a doubt!

If you didn't enter how can you win?
Where do you ever have to Pay a fee to recieve a prize?
If you were to win R55 000 they would phone you, not SMS!

Like mnd123 says, report the idiot! Or even better, send him the same SMS in a couple days and lets see what he does? BTW was the dialing code +23?
