DT has 20x20 corner overflow wit a durso to deadin sound, water runs down a 50mm tubing into 1st chamber via a reefocto pro 400mic filter sock,1st chamber hosts reefocto skimmer .wide baffle b4 2nd chamber hosts 300 watt heater, then comes the middle chamber(500x450) DSB 15cm thick with good flow over it an also used as refugium containing LR rubble,mangrove plant an chaeto an calurpa an other macro algaes for nutrient export with an attached jebo quadplex skimmer acting as ozone reactor,this flows into the last chamber hosting my phosphate reactor running anti-phos and my 4800l/h lifetech return pump and powerLAB carbon reactor and atu running via powerLAB kalk stirer
The DT has ±150kgs mixed LR(fiji an kenyan) structured into 3 islands with overhangs to create a full scape reef and for maximum swimming space and good coral placement all sitting on a 50kg pure aragonite 3-4cm thick, tank is made up of mostly tangs and a mix of sps,lps an softies....
light cycle is 2x39watt actinic t5s + 2x39watt coralstars from 6am-7pm an halides run on a short sunrise to sunset cycle ,halide 1: 11am-12pm, halide 2: 12am-1pm, halide 3: 1pm-2pm and 10k + more actinics come on from 7am-5pm
Feeding is mornin and evening, yes, only twice a day... Mornin is 2 strips of nori for my tangs, .... Evenings is 2 blocks mysis/brine/kriel soaked in garlic.....corals get every 2nd night small portion of baby brine shrimp
Dosing: iodine 30ml a week spreadout as for strontium an trace on same pattern.reef snow is given once a week a hour after lights out an reefplus is added to food every nw an again,stability is added wit every new fish an then bi-weekly for good bacteria maintanance.calcium ,mag, alk is added wen needed using seachem reef builders
