Oh no. That is devastating news Pieter. This is such a cruel hobby sometimes.
+1 - if you do take a break don't rush into giving your equipment away - if ever you want to come back it will cost twice as much againSo sorry to hear Pieter, will be a massive loss to the marine hobby community. You were always selfless in sharing your knowledge and assistance.
I hope you find the strength to continue, even if not now, at a later stage.
Guess I have to share bad news too on here. Been a horrible few days, lost most of the fish, and worst of all is I am not 100% sure what it is. Currently narrowed down to Brooklynella or a toxin in the water. Where the brook came from I have no idea as everything gets qt-ed. I am really struggling to see a way where I am going to continue in this hobby unfortunately, it has been a devastating few days, more than I can handle at this stage of my life.
So will put up the hardware for sale soon, as soon as I have figured out the way forward, maybe just a nano for now, or complete cold turkey. But if anyone might be keen on the hardware, let me know, can let all the hardware go for R30k, which is a bargain. It has not been an easy decision, but there are other things in my life that needs to take priority now, this crash was the last straw.

Dude you can't quit because of something like this. I know it is hard, but you will never get what you have for the same price you want to sell it for.
Just think about it over a beer or 2 before you do something you regretI know, but not sure I’ll set up again if I sell. Have other priorities currently taking most of my time.
Hang in there Pieter.
Lots of us out there to help you back. Need to help us understand what happened so we can learn from it.
Your two Regal Angels inspired me to go the same. Currently paired two up in the sump. taken me 6 months to find a second one.
I have lots of SPS to bring you back.
