Guys,
To place this in some or other perspective and allow you to again appreciate your own set-ups, consider this. My 2m 1300 liter reef tank suffered a top to bottom vertical crack on one of its round corners while I wasn't at home. It was a tragedy of note, but I managed to salvage some of my stock and LR. Imaine the headache one would have if something like that were, God forbid, to happen with a huge set-up like this. I don't think i, for one, would survive something like that.

For me, the upside is that 11 weeks down the line my new 2000 liter system is cycling nicely. Photos to follow.

EISH Baaienaar! Now that is indeed a HUGE TRAGEDY! Sorry to hear. I too suffered some losses a few weeks ago. I was SHATTERED for at least a week after that. I did not even have the heart to LOOK at my empty tank, after that. My wife had to feed the surviving fish. :(
BUT - a few weeks down the line, and I am now ready to go on too....
Good luck with the new 2 metre tank - and please keep us updated!
