The Gamtoos valley is on the other side of the far hills, this flood plain is fed by the same river that formed the gamtoos:

LOL! I am a technician. If you want to punish me keep me in the base for a week :014: yesterday we had a lot of rain so everything just looks so clean today. Our mountain sites are Karreedouw, Zuurberg, Bedford, and Grahamstown. Which is more of a hill.
The gamtoos sites are fantastic, I will get pics with the next trip. Paul Saur dam is a fun 4X4 track with serious gradients and we use a bakkie to climb that.

One more of the road. We have done the 4x4 training so its great fun getting to use a 4x4 for what its meant for.. Man these bakkies are machines just climbs up, not a wheelspin no problem. I wish you guys could see the gradient.
