Hey Reefers,

What type of glue can be used for coral placement? I know about the Two Little Fishies glue or epoxy but that is +- R300 for a small tube. Any other stuff available?

Hey Frans the superglue gel for softies, do you glue in a bucket then wait for it to set before putting in the DT??

never cut /glue corals in your display with gel...it does not work.

do it in a small bucket with tank water. Also toxins from cutting can be very bad for fish and other corals.

Agree, super glue gel or pratley putty - outside the tank. You can also use this method for softies - got it from the coral propagation book.

thanks for the quick reply guys!

@ Frans - Which Pratley product do you use ?

1. Pratley Putty® Original
2. Pratley Quickset Putty®

Thanks again for the feedback!

You can use both, but with the quick set one you need to work much faster. I prefer the normal one.
Mix the two equal pieces of putty thouroughly. Take the frag out the water and apply a bit of putty on both the frag and the piece of rock, put together and take a bit of tank water to smoothen the putty otherwise it might get too sticky on your fingers. Rinse with tank water and put back into tank in low flow area until hard.
