hey guys.just an update on whats happening.will ad the sump and start the plumbing in the next week or two im wating for a friend who has given me his sump.wating for him to fit the new sump so i can get mine and start the plumbing.
i got alot of base rock from les wich has been lying in the sun and rain for awhile.so i played around with some scaping ideas.its not as easy as i thought it would be.
i built two caves in each corner and will be building another in the middle.
once sump is in place and the plumbing is all done ill be ading aragonite as substrate and will ad about three to four kg's of live rock to seed the base rock just before we fill the tank up.will ad more live rock during cycling.
if anyone can give me advise on if its a good idea to use the base rock and what the pro's and con's are please any advise would be much apreciated.
clinton it doesnt look bad but it will limit you in terms of hiding spaces for fish, dont be shy to put more rock in as this will provide more security for fish and place for corals to be positioned. excellent attempt though and you definatley have the right idea. id look for another rock or two to position in front and keeping in mind the fish you want to keep and theirs sizes allow for them to interact with the rockwork by providing bigger caves and bolt holes.
