hey @shaunn - I had my shrimp drop eggs twice already - twice that I have seen...lol

The fish simply snap them up - may work if you can put the shrimp in a seperate tank where they wont go over the overflow or minced in the flow pumps...

unfortunatley our systems are designed to filter out anything in the water columb, this being said the shrimp fry are either quickly eaten or swept into the filter..

removing them to a fuge with simular parameters with slower waterflow and feeding them on rotifer would be the better option...

i know of one person here locally to get them to 32 days but it was a fulltime job with meticulous attention to detail... (steralising nsw, and constand cultiring of rotifers)

yep that is how i see it but does that men my water is good or does that only count for fish laying eggs ?

shrimp with eggs normally means your water is crap... lol

Why you worried about water?:tt2:

Some things rapidly spawn as a last ditch attempt to save their species when they think that thinks are not right and they going to die! (I've heard):tt2:

my shrimps spawn frequently( i look at it as live food), the effort required to raise cleaner shrimps is immense however some people have been able to do it with peppermint shrimps their larval stages are shorter.

However if one is going to attempt to breed and raise shrimps one has to have aquariums and food for this specific purpose, breeding is easy raising is the problem.
