Best skimmer for a 250l tank?

First, what is the upper limit your budget allows?

There are many skimmers, and depending on your viewpoint, each one of them can be the best. A cheap Reeftek TS1 will do the job, or a bling bling red cone with auto cleansing cup and drain line can do the job.

Same question as to which vehicle is the best to drive down to Capetown, Z3, Jetta, Kombi or long wheel base single cab Ford bakkie?
Depends on what you want,
quick naughty weekend - X3
You wife 2 kids - Jetta
You wife 2 kids parents-in-law clothes for a month - Kombi
Bringing back a tank sump and stand - Ford bakkie.
 
Well I Stand by the Reeftek Ts2. Hasnt let me down and skims like a mad man :)
And the price is Awesome :)

in my eys one of the best skimmers for its price. :thumbup:
 
Reefteck , Reef Octo , Skimz , Bubble Mangus , ATi ... are all excelent brands. Have a look at the supplier websites, and get a feel of whtat you would like.

The sponsors here on MASA could most likely get you any one of the above mentioned brands.
 
Best in the country ATM IMPO for 250L fully stocked SPS reef
SKIMZ SM161 or SK181
Bubble blaster 2000 or bubble blaster xp1000

Those 4 IMPO is the best for a 250L tank you could go with smaller ones but with those you know you are sorted and can feed a bit more
 
SPS, softies or LPS? keep in mind i would suggest a skimmer that can handle a minimum of 500lt .

i would slook at TS2 or AM blue 1000 for softies and lps lightly stocked

or a

Skimz or reefocto for a higher bioload..

what kind of budget do you have for it? and are you going to go bigger anytime soon?

Okay so i may want to go bigger later on... im just trying to get every1s view. Not looking to just upgrade lol need to get cash first. Hence i figured do some research n ask the gurus.

I will have to look at my budget and then mayb you guys can assist me. Thanks for all the input i shall be reading lots.

Want to eventually oneday keep sps currently got softies and lps

Ferrari is better than a Mercedes C280.
Mercedes is better than a Ford Focus
Ford Focus is better than Tata Indica.

But if you can only afford a Tata, then that is the BEST option for you.

Check the for sale forum,
There are some TS1 skimmers for very good price. But in Cape Town. If you willing to ship, then that is not a bad deal.
