Sure does and thanks for the clarity man ... wll explained ... I must apologise for drawing it out of you like this but there's a lot of people who are too shy to ask . I agree with you , the salt most of us use contain more or less what we need on a longer term to maintain cal , alk and mag of the water but we dose to feed additional consumption of minirals by our corals ect. or at least that's how I have it

No problem at all. Took me a while to get a hang of it and was aimlessly adding minerals as per what the packaging told me to. When I took the time to test properly over multiple days to ascertain my exact (or close enough) usage and dose only what was required my tank has been thriving. I actually found that the amounts indicated on the packaging of most products was below my aquarium, the dose was enough to keep everything "going" but when I started getting the correct levels everything started growing like crazy.
