accurate thermostats

Hi all - does anybody have recommendations on a small wattage accurate thermostat. I got a dolphin thermostat today and if it were not for my intervention my fish would have been cooked through by the morning:m34:

I need to get a good one tomorrow so any advice would be appreciated

What they said. I had lots of temperature fluctuation issues, with different (good) brands and sizes heaters. Since adding the STC, no more issues.
 
Stc 1000 is great little controller. I have my heater and fan connected and its fantastic. Keeps the water temp very stable
 
I always thought my tank was running at 25ish when I got my STC turns out it was at 27ish!
So yes STC is a good one to look at!!
 
50w- i used my stc to calibrate. They are not perfect but will do. Issue is the sensitivity to temp change. They seem to be doing the trick though and water staying for the most pqrt around the 25deg mark
 
Hmmm - looking back on this thread saying that the STC should be calibrated - Would one do this with any old thermometer? Is there even a screw or anything to calibrate the STC?

Did not know a STC required calibration - any input here?
