Hi all

Since I twinned on another 700 l system to one of my existing systems on Saturday (muchos gratias to Ian and Cripple Chris for helping), I though I'ld share this "resurrection" to the forum......

That is NSW flowing at 1000l/h and with a small extension...

...filling up my new tank. I'ld like to introduce my NSW line, powered by Chris's industrial weed-eater motor.

I have a buried pipeline from my lounge down to the end of the vegetation, and a portable section and Chris's petrol-powered weed-eater pump that is attached to the "sea" end. Normal hosepipes (which are the limiting factor w.r.t. flow atm and will be upgraded) connect the "tank" end to the tank.

Jealous?

nope, I just want to stick something up your pipe...

Horrible thread... I suggest it get deleted - might cause unrest on such a peaceful site :p

On a different note, congrats! Something I'm sure every tank owner wishes he/she had.

hmmm water looks dirty...

You must clean the weedeater first....

I didn't have a choice w.r.t. tides (it was neap this weekend - when I last had the line opperational, I pumped on the spring low from a pool closer to the sea.), so I pumped from a marine pool that had an algal bloom. Water is crystal clear now and all filter-feeders are well-fed.

Never liked you. Not from the very beginning. Not for one moment.

Awwww, Wobbie......

Here's a pic from my bedroom this morning to make you like me even less - good pumping water (8m vis, 22 deg C, 1.5m swells).

No ways Afsal...
Okes in PE only use bamboo sticks, spark plugs and champagne corks:biggrin:

Not anymore. I used to as a kid, then worked in the commercial line-fishing industry and lost the urge to fish from the shore.

There is a lot of fish activity in front of my house atm, and has been for a month or so. Sardines were once again on the surface just before sunrise this morning - shoal was about 4km long and 500m wide. Here's an early bird pic from today - no clouds or wind -

i suppose you tell everybody that waterchanges are a hose! man i am super jealous! i haveto tell you though that the nearest saltwater is two metres from my bedroom window pity its my pool!

Well, I've got that as well. If electricity didn't cost an arm, leg and testicle - I'ld convert the SW pool to a marine pond in a flash. Have spare filters and a heat exchanger and all....

It would be nice to have a marine pool. you wouldnt haveto heat as much as in capetown. in winter u could sell the fish as ice lollies
