Wreck off Durban harbour

WOW! That sounds FANTASTIC, Dan! Next I am in Durbs, I would LOVE to join you on a dive on this wreck! I will let you know when I can get to Durbs again!

BTW jacques you are MORE than welcome to join us! just let me know when you're coning up next! maybe you can even take a few 'presents' home to CT! (if you're willing to risk flying with fish, lol!)

we are busy making plans to dive it at night.... should be cool :)
After what I caught there whilst fishing at night, I will never dive that area. :p

what, a blenny? :p haha just kidding, tell me more :)
Mother size Grey Sharks, Hammer heads, Diamond Rays, Honeycomb Rays, Blue Rays.... There is something there that is so huge, not even my heaviest fishing tackle can hold. It gets hooked, and takes of like a steam train even on the tightest of drag, peeling more than 600 meters of line off and then breaks it.

hmmm. so when we going?

haha :D  :D

there was actually a 12m ditch between the harbour and the the plateau of the channel where the wreck lies - no doubt some big boys swimming through there haha

have you fished there recently mek? or is it still off-limits to public? (not that the chick from port security seemed to mind us being there, nor does the fence maintain any pretense at security)

No dude. Only from the shore. I noticed that a few fishermen have been there at night. They are getting in by palming the securities.
