Could you guys please help me out. I have a seachem marine basic test kit which I bought last year. The kit cannot be over 9 months old. It doesn't have an expiry date on it anywhere. Do they expire?

Also, I am having trouble with the nitrate/nitrite tests. I did a reference test and all is good.
But when I test my tank water the color doesn't change. It stays yellow (color of reagent). Does this mean there is no nitrite or nitrate?

I have attached some pics showing the color

Sorry the pink is the reference test.
The first picture is the nitrite test (left yellow). The second picture is the nitrate test (left yellow).

I do not have anyone else in my town that could help me (no1 that I know of)

I'm just a bit uncertain because I have a very low alkalinity figure with this test kit and I'm not sure if it's accurate.

Also, I have tested water on 2 tanks giving me the same outcome.

1st tank is in cycling for over a week.
2nd tank has been running for 9 months

Thanks for the quick response. I'm pretty sure this test worked perfectly just when opened?
I haven't tested in a while
