I made an evaporative cooler with a 1 met drain pipe as a sump with a 600lit hr pump pumping ordinary water through a chiller coil in the sump and back to a spray bar above the sump. the spray bar has app 1 meter jay cloth draped over it and a gutter at the bottom collecs the cooled water and returns it to the sump. it worked really well untill I got female interference about all the pipes hanging out the window
As for pumps you can forget anythin but a Hydor Koralia at 4.5 watts they are fantastic. run from a UPS for hours.
