Me too!!! In the interrim, do you know of the top of your head any other pumps that would work on this skimmer? Maybe a tunze hydrofoamer?

im not too sure, i was going to try put a OR3500 on my SM202 when i had my pump/impellor issues but luckily they replaced the items...
hydrofoamer may be an option to consider...

Ok, took the thing apart, looks like the new generation of impeller, here's the pic.

looks ok but the pic is a little blurred... have you looked inside the pump?
Looked inside the skimmer smooth as a baby's bottom. Check out this youtube video, my impeller looks identical, even has the new shaft insert inside the pump, except mine has not been cut away.

that is the new generation impellor, the odl design had a black back plate behind the orange pin wheel- that is the most obvious diff.

I still believe the physical design of the skimz body is one of the best,removing the real stinky, having a SM202 myself, The pump however leave some to be desired, a mod to a bubble blaster , Tunze hydrofomer and this skimmer will be perfection itself

possible a small piece of gunk, or cavitations. the tolerence between the armature and stator are much smaller compared to most other pumps

Got new revised impeller for my 181 which broke over the weekend. Got home and it didn't include the socket into which the ceramic tip fits into (in the back of the pump).
Can't drive back now... So ticked off....

OUCH! @pXius. Hey I am going to Isando to drop off some freight for chikaboo today, but only after five, if you organise I could pick up whatever you need from that area (boksburg, benoni, near exotics)?
I took my pump apart, it has the socket you speak about, bought my 201 in July. PM ME!
