I am also a victim of the skimz impeller failure on my skimz internal cone skimmer using the same ES5000 pump. I have been through two impellers, each one lasted about six months and failed in exactly the same manner as yours. Who did you contact to get a replacement?

Sorry to hear you are experiencing the same misfortune as I am, the e-mail dumbo posted above is the one to mail, but I have had no luck in my efforts to have my pump or impellors replaced.
 
Thanks - I will let you know if I get a response. The was an expensive skimmer that works perfectly other than the pump. I would be very p...d off to have to throw it away just because of an impeller defect and poor backup and support.

Good Morning Janet

I am a little dissapointed that i have not recieved any further correspondance from you regarding my problem regarding my skimz protein skimmer,

I must say that it is definatley not doing your products reputation anygood here in South Africa as people will be reluctant to buy a product they cannot be sure will be properly covered buy the warranties you "Say" are in place..

I personally am unimpressed with the fact that due to the Skimz agency trading hands i am left in a situation where i cannot call on local support and have to deal with yourselves directly..

as requested by you and answered with all fulfilled criteria requested (photographs and description of pump and impellor failure) please replace my faulty ES5000 pump and furnish with a new impellor..

This replacement issue has now become a matter of principal in that i challenge you to uphold your gaurauntee that your products were so promptly sold under....

Please advise in a speedy fashion
 
Ok Annie seems to be on the ball, she has responded to me and i have replied to 2 of her mails already..

i take my previous statement back,

now i am being told that my pump is out of warranty irrespective of the fact that it was the "inferrior" impellor that seized and caused it to overheat...

Im sorry but as long as i am around i will not recomend any skimz product... as merley the fact that we have to deal with a people not understanding the essence of the problem.

My understanding of warranty is that it will apply for 1 year from purchase with a product that is known to be working 100%, with the acknowledgement of a defective impellor that is obviously not the case here and would suggest that responsorbility is being shifted to me the consumer for a product that was not 100%.

Please advise..
 
Time to hurry up and get your vertex running.....before its out of warranty....:tt2:

luckily i dont have that problem with the "LOCAL AGENT" as im sure he will check the date i start running it from on my thread and not the slip from when he sold it to me...

Leslie, I still think the skimmer itself is true, replacing with a proven bubble blaster is what I suggest and am busy with after I have completed a few tests as I spoke to you about.
