[wtd] Temperature controller

Hi, are you looking for something to switch heaters and fans on and off? If so then an STC-1000 is perfect and very reliable, fairly cheap too.

Yes an STC-1000 is what I'm in search of, any clue where I can get and for how much? Thanks

I saw a second hand twmp controller with plugbars at RBM aquatics, think it was around R500. Neatly fitted in a control box.

Thanks Viper , 2 questions
Can I run two 300watt heaters through one ?
And is it true the instructions withit are wrong , I have tried one before and it blew ( followed instruction leaflet ) ?

You can easily run 2x300w heaters, the stc-1000 is rated to 10A each for heating/cooling and 300w is only 1.25A on 240v. I used this diagram when I wired mine up, and it works:

Yes, but not too difficult if you start at one point. For heaters the yellow lines are not necessary, as they don't have an earth. Also for 2 wire heaters/PC fans it doesn't matter which wire goes to live or neutral, so makes it a little easier.

Yes one can, the total rated watts is 2200w, I have 2 x 300w in parallel on my STC1000 which I paid R385 from LFS. The relays are rate at 10a @ 220V which gives 2200w.
