Hi reefers

Customers complain about suction cups that fail and pumps that fall off because of this!:( We listened to your complaints and done something about it.;)

We just landed a limited amount of magnets for the "SUN SUN vibration" pumps:thumbup:

These babies are STRONG 19mm glass EASY:slayer:

They cost R190-00 each

Ha Ha

Joker ;)- i had to pay extra, the importer did not intend to get them in:(, so I had to make special arrangements. The wholesaler will look at my sales and decide if he will import them.:p

No doubt he will stock them in 2010:whistling:

Yoh why so expensive man. Its currently going for 120.00

And the ceramic shafts that break so easy?

Do you have some spares for that?

Yoh, cheaper to buy a new pump when the first one falls off...

Reason I stopped using these pumps and luckily, was gifted with a Hydor to replace the countless broken ones :yeahdude:

Hi Inflames,
When you say that you got the magnets for R125 each, is that per pair or individually?
Cheers

Copy of letter received from AKWA for your info, this will close my comments in this regard!!

"Moolis,

We humbly apologize for the embarrassment we have caused you.

The fact is that the magnets were originally ordered for you, and the whole shipment was supposed to go to you as per agreement. After my agreement to import the magnets for you, other customers contacted Kobus who manages the imports. From the 100 magnets that came in to the country you have 75 of them. 20 went another customer in Kwazuzlu Natal and the other 5 was sold to someone in Gauteng.

Unfortunately I never new about this! Akwa would never have imported these magnets if it was not for you. You identified a gap in the marketplace before anyone else.

We find it very unfair and totally unnecessary that some people would use this unfortunate mistake Akwa made to badmouth you and to bring your name under disregard.

Again, sorry for the embarrassment caused!!!

Best wishes,

well im glad someone is stocking the magnets. still too pricey for me so ill wait till my suction cups start coming off

Picked up these magnets duting the week for R125 each. Also wondering about the shafts...I have gone through 3 for one pump in the last 8 months!

That was a good price. hope they did'nt give you discount.
Moolis sorry mate but R195 is a bit steep the guys are looking for a solution to the problem not new pumps

I saw these magnet-mounts last thursday at PetStop and thought, hey, that's simple, why not get it made up by some-one here in SA.
Contacted 3 places who sell magnets and....the cheapest i could get magnets for was R75 a piece ex vat and only if i buy bulk - yuk!!! (remember these magnets must go through 20mm glass and be about 5 -8 mm thick)
Now I have the magnets but then I must get the plastic made up.
So you can see it is getting expensive just to make it.
But I agree, magnets = R190, pump = R220, not such a good deal.

Something is going on...if Only 5 magnets were supplied to "someone else" in joburg...so why did I see 10 of them in the flesh and Bought 4 of them? At R120?

I also bought them from a shop that I know is expensive and put up a "nice" mark up! So R190 a magnet is really steep... unless AKWA is supplying these at different prices to the retailers! R70 difference in retail price makes one wonder!?!?!:whistling:

Anyway...good luck at getting rid of them at R190...now that I have them and they should last a life time...:yeahdude:

Ok nice deleting my post..gona ban me next???
Your prices on the pumps are very expencvie and with a markup of over 300% on those pumps(I know the price of them) and even more on the Magnets nice going on helping reefers. I have been asking other shops for these same magnets for over a year now as i have been runnign these pumps for 2 years now.
