Spaceboys tank setup

Are you filling with RO and salt mix or NSW?

Why not NSW, just to start?

nice, LOOKING GOOD
best of luck 4 the future
MAY THE TANKLYHOOD BE WITH U!

thanks for the positive feedback. The lounge is painted, and im just about ready to start filling my baby.

I was just wondering if you guys know where I can get an auto feeder in DBN at a good price? I really want this tank to be as auto as possible.

Also, have decided i will be adding a halide.

i think ive seen them auto feeders at natures petland but u can get it from phat (mike) via pm pls

Trouble with the auto feeders, they're only made for dried foods, which is fine. But you still need to supplement with some mixed food IMHO.

Just my 2c

Auto feeders make life easier , but i prefer feeding by hand ... just fun to watch the fishies go crazy!

Will the setup stay in that possie? Just thinking you have some nice direct sun light there.

I'll wait for a guru to answer you, but AFAIK it's very beneficial for coral, but can fuel nuisance algae.

David you have seen how well my corals are doing by my windows. Yes sunlight is great however if you have slight nutrient issues, you will have serious algae problems. You also need to consider the tank warming up from the sun exposure, and a not so nice yellow looking tank during the day.

man i love your corals (dreamy look on my face right now)... I still dont know what to do... it doesnt get too much light, and what it does get is indirect for most of the time... i suppose keeping a really low stocking level wrt fish (as im planning to do) will help somewhat with the nutrients. Heating aint really too much of a problem- airconditioned room

little update- black plastic background in. rest of t5s in... pics tomorrow...start filling up tomorrow night...

and a word of advice to people dealing with reflectors- be careful- cut my wrist- missed the vein by hald a centimetre. what an idiot
