So after a great weekend getting my shoal Of yellows and some stock from a fellow reefer

we followed this up with a week of hell

So I noticed my lights weren't working so i decided to check it out
Found out my profilux plug bars flaked out
At the same time my return pump wasn't working, thankfully after takin this out and cleaning the shaft everything was back to normal
So Had to send the bars to jhb for fixing and that cost me some $ due to water damage , been without them for 10 days and has been a really mission keeping the tank running in the meantime
Getting then back tomorrow so hopefully back to normal by weekend

On a better note I received this from a fellow reefer during the week and seems well settled

Also currently sitting at CpT cargo depot

Have come to collect some new members
have waited patiently for a clown trigger for my fowlr tank as well as a blue trigger
Other members include a few tangs and some others
Will post pics when they get settled into qt for a few days

So ended up getting my plug bars back from aquarium depot - water damaged so not impressed about that , cost me a few $ and courier stuffed my delivery around so wasn't impressed as had the long weekend to fix everything

On another note , my little one has been nagging for a nemo so decided to get a nano for the room
Ended up getting a nice nano , but as with small tank come restrictions
Tank is setup and looking good



One thing I find frustrating about these tanks - finding a skimmer
I have searched everywhere and cannot get something to work

So nothing too much happening on the tank side
been laying low for a while while the $ recover from the wife being on maternity leave

Had a few issues with my tank and my profilux but all behind us now and hopefully no more
decided to do a firmware upgrade on the unit as mine was sitting on a firmware from 2011

Must say was s$$ting bricks before cause heard horror stories online about guys doing it and bricking theirs

Managed to do it fist time no
Prob - yay
Happy that's out the way and now looking to do an assisted water change with my profilux

ATM I use it a bit and 200l water changes take about 20 min but would like to use it as much as possible to assist in water change

Must say its an amazing piece of equipment and wouldn't run my reef without it

Great to see more pics of your tank, yeah FTS at your size tank needs a wiiide angel lens

tank is filling up nicely and like the purple rock,coraline taking off nicely

ps.ur daughters tank looks very similar to the 1 i had with the princess thingy,

So decided to move mr nennie as he decided to walk about as I didn't feed him, but wast too stressed about doing it .
End result nennie got moved back to his perch, me I go stung on the arm

he must have left some mucus on the glass and it stung me while
Moving Him back
Now I know what nennie warfare feels like - ow !
