Restarting 250 MAX

Thanks so much! Yes I still run the ATI T5’s. My trusty ol’ chiller has been doing me quite well as well. I had a lot more coral stocked in the tank in June but unfortunately while I was out the country the tank sitter went a bit crazy on topping up and my salinity dropped to 1.009... lost all my precious coral :m20: but I’m slowly rebuilding.

I love this tank
I love the scape 2 really hoping I can get my RSM to look half as good as yours

Well done

Thanks for the kind words! Can’t say I have never thought on giving up on this tank, but I’ve managed to stick it through and it’s only uphill from here on out.

the One thing I’m struggling to get right is Xenia I’m my tank. One of my favorite corals and I can never keep it alive in my water... so disappointing. I’ve had 3 attempts at keeping It and today will
Be my 4th attempt.... anyone got any knowledge to share on this? I can keep other softies, LPS and various sps (although I choose not to stock those twigs)

Admiring the clean looking tank after some much needed maintenance, with the addition of 3 new corals, A rare ultra purple bubble coral, Green Lobo and a recovering wall hammer. Aqua vitro Fuel has also exceeded my expectations in maximizing coral extension and colors.

Really nice, that RBTA looks amazing.

Thank you for the kind words, do you mind to share with me how often he should get fed? And if it is 100% required to feed them...

They don't need to be fed as they should get enough nutrients from photosynthesis, but it is beneficial to feed them and from experience they seem to split more if target fed. We used to feed mine every week, a piece of lance fish I think.

Unfortunately due to my lack of testing, some of my parameters have gone way out of line and the corals are starting to show it :(

Alkalinity- 6.8 dkh
Mag- 1580ppm
Ca-500ppm

Is there anyway to naturally decrease Mag levels without a big water change? I assume it is the salt I’m using that has contributed to the peak of it. As for the alkalinity I’ve gone back to dosing 8.4 by aqua vitro.
