Rate of RO water filtration.

probably the pressure in your taps is a bit low clinton

Yeah, mine takes just over 2 hours to make 25 litres.

I got the reefmaster plus evolution or whatever its called

2 to 3 hours sounds right

clinton, mekaeel is right in saying perhaps your pressure is not correct (4 bar)
or you need to change your filters .....or your membrane is blocked....possibly needs to be flushed or replaced............what is your t.d.s sitting at present?
maybe i can do some troubleshooting...........by the way....how was isle maurice???

hehe.....clinton i greased my keyboard this morning....lol
refer to post 24
you can test pressure by connecting a pressure gauge to a gardena hose fitting , turning on the tap and check the gauge......
another method is to hold the hose (just hose with no fitting on) and spray the water horizontal.....if it sprays 4 meters away.,.......thats about 4 bar

Hi Marco,

I did change the sediment filter and carbon filter recently. Membrane has not been changed since I got the unit - about 16 months now, but it has been thsi slow from the beginning. Run about 50-75l of RO/week. Have not tested my TDS in a long while, need to take it to someone who can test for me.

Ile Maurice was very nice. Did not manage to catch up with your buddy for the trip to Flat island (Le Mauricia was closed for renovations I think). But anywya withthe kids it woudl ahve been difficult to do the adventurous stuff, but maybe next time. I saw your phots and they were really nice, I must say i was a bit disappointed with the reefs by our Hotel, seemed very sparse, not like I imagined it would be like.
