    Hi,
I want to add an extra overflow for my 850l tank. The current overflow that I have is not sufficient.

At this stage I don't want to drill any new holes in the tank. So needs a custom overflow box. It can be an off the shelf or custom build model.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
So I've build one of these - works like a charm.. BUT...
For some reason after a day it just stop.
I haven't closed the top drain pipe yet - can that be the problem?

Or can it be that pipe that I use to "prime" to overflow is not sealed good enough?

    Any ideas welcome.

its getting air inside the pipe. Either leaking or your primer pipe is leaking. how about a picture of your build?

    I agree
Seal your joints simple as that, no need for a fancy unit

its not the joints that leak. It is small bubbles that get pulled down with the flow.

Bigger return pump and more bubbles get pulled down.

One solution is to shift the T-piece on the outside higher. That will make the water level in the inner inlet pipe higher. With the T-piece too low, the running water level inside is low enough and bubble goes via the first set of elbows too easy.

The guy in that video got such a low turnover rate, doubt he got even enough flow to pull bubbles past the first bend.
