Orca Labs Res-q-med

@Dexter

Wanted to ask advice on this product.

I have a 400 litre tank.

From the instructions, it states 1 spoon per 200l I think.

Wanted to know if one bottle will be sufficient to treat my tank for the max 22 day term

Or does the spoon in the bottle say how much grams it is. Then can make calculation as it 50 bottle I think

A bottle treats 2000l for 12 - 14 days. I used it on my 500l tank still have more thank half left

Ok cool.

Thanks for that info.

Also. @butcherman and @Dexter

What was you opinion of the product?

It cure your tank of white spot?

And did it have any effects on your inverts sps and lps?

Helped clear WS and Velvet. No affects on my corals or good inverts. Just need to catch it early. If fish get secondary infections they would need to be quarantined

to be honest I'm not convinced that it works. I tried it a while back and I still lost fish. Maybe I didn't catch the spot in time i don't know.

It worked for me. I had some fish in a bad state and they past away during the treatment. Once the treatment was complete I havent seen a single spot on my older or new editions. Even if my new additions have been completely stressed by my sailfin no spots have shown on anyone in about 7 months now.

Hi guys, I know this is a old thread but hoping someone can give me some advice.
I noticed my.yellow tang had white spots on Sunday after a power outage, and temp dropped very fast to 22. Fish was not.eating and not swimming very well. Could not get my hand on Res Q Med at the time, A friend gave me half a bottle of heal.all by bio elite, which helped fish is now eating and swimming much better but still has spots it it. Unfortunately only had enough for 2 dosage and it is recommended to do a minimum of 7 dosage,
My question is can I now start using Res Q Med as I have bought it today or how long doni wait for the previous medication to work its way out the tank.

Run carbon for a day or 2 to remove any left over medication.
Remember to remove the carbon again before starting with Res-Q-Med

Good evening coming back to this old thread. I had a breakout of white spot that I noticed this morning and quickly went to go get Res Q Med but seeing that it was already past 9ami could only do my first dosage tonight just after 21:30 - i premixed it with some water from the tank but then added it to the tank itself, I realized that i did not mix it properly and the some of the grains fell into the tank - is this a very bad thing? Will it dissolve by itself or did I do something stupid.

I have never had white spot before and also I dont have a QT Tank thats why I have to treat everything in my display tank together, my fish still eats like monsters and feed them 3 times daily just enough so that there is no food left in the tank, my food is garlic base so I hope this will have some benefit for them individually - not all the fish were infected mainly my scopas tang and my foxface but will see what will happen and how this med will treat the disease.

Please kindly can anyone with some advise let me know what and how to proceed with treatment!

Please see below quote off the orca labs website.

"RES-Q-MED crystals can cause irritation if contacted with corals. For this reason, RES-Q-MED should be added in a high flow area away from corals such as your sump. Alternatively, dissolve RES-Q-MED in 250ml of RO water and immediately add this solution into your aquarium"
