Hey guys and girls

Is this thing good or bad? I found one when I added a rock of Zoas to my tank about 3 weeks ago, and I found this one today. If anyone can tell me whether it's good, or bad, or even better, a species name, I would really appreciate it.

I know the pic isn't 100% but it's not too bad.

Thanks

Sean

I found 3 of these in my tank a while ago. Other than a small piece of toadstool that was nibbled I can't say I noticed any other damage to anything. Not saying they nibbled it, but one would never know.

Almost all nudi's are specialist eaters. One thing, and that thing only. Else they starve. Problem is that normally that one thing is something we want in our tank.

Except Berghia. But those nudi's do not ship very well, and also part of the reason they are not freely available in South Africa. They breed easily, but must have constant supply of aptasia to be able to survive. And some fish eat them. So they generally do not last in an open tank. So unlikely to be a Berghia in my opinion. But maybe I'm wrong.

Sump it in a small container with an aptasia. And see if it does eat it.

i will pipe up here.... this nudi is BADDDDDDD. Yellow coris wrasse keep these guys at bay amazingly, other than that, you can kiss your zoa/paly collection goodbye. I am speaking unfortunately from experience here, they devoured 1/2 of my rare zoa collection until i got my wrasse. He was a nudi machine, and still is. I will ALWAYS have one of these guys in any system i run!

If you only saw him after adding zoa's....then I would guess him to be bad....I had a similar looking one a few weeks back....also 1st time I saw one was after adding new zoas....

there are so many species of nudi's, but i wont take a chance.. will most likely decide to eat ur sps or zoas, ill bin it

Looks like it might be berghia they eat aiptasia so valuable if it is one!

Berghia Nudibranch Breeder, Berghia Verrucicornis Kill Aiptasia Anemones to Control Aiptasia

It looks exactly like that!! Damn it! I killed it already! I killed it when I found it! My Zoas are doing really well actually.

I don't have any aiptasia in my tank though, that's the problem.

I don't take chances with crawly things in my tank. I never do, but this is the second one I've found, so maybe it's a good thing?

Pity, if it was a Berghia, but maybe there are more in the tank?
