Hi everyone,

I recently added a mushroom coral to my reef tank and I’m still learning how to keep it happy. It seems to be opening well, but I’m not sure if I have placed it in the best spot. I currently have it lower in the tank with relatively gentle flow and moderate lighting.

How do you normally position mushroom corals for healthy growth and good colour? Do they prefer lower light and indirect flow, or can they adapt to stronger reef lighting over time?

I’d also like to know how quickly they usually spread and whether I should worry about them taking over nearby corals.

Any advice would be appreciated!
