no problem..anytime...give me a shout a few weeks before you book, so i can give you a few ideas and save you some bucks

where you stay on the island is key for what you wanna do

dont beleive everything you hear or read on forums....

yes they are rare.....but not more so than a gem
rememebr alot of european and american based forum junkies like to control
livestock markets
some of them big name people.....
they are expensive fish.....and they are rare.....
but not that much compared to other species

Really enjoyed checking through your photos !
We are going to more or less the same area as you were - Isle Aux Cerf in December. Woop woop !
If you don't mind me asking, what did the Seakart hire set you back ? It look slike a great way to travel...

cool....
unless you staying at le trousrock hotel....
there is not much else to do there by isle aux cerf......except snorkel 1 spot and see a waterfall
and in december that place will just be nuts.....every tourist in mauritius wants to get to isle aux cerf in dec
try stay more north and then do a day tour to isle aux cerf one of the days you there
a tour will pick you up and drop you back from wherever you stay for about Rs1200 (R400)
north is where all the sea trips by catamaran leave from
so cannonier, le mauricia, monchoisy hotel, toux biche hotel are all good in the area
we stayed at a mates of mine's appartments ( Wanna Studio en apartments)
self catering, clean, central and safe for very little money
speak to my mate herman and tell him you a friend of mine....
hes a great guy, even been here and stayed with us during the world cup
the seakart was a trip we done on the south west
cost Rs5000 rupees for all of us R 1600
