Here Warr7207, I started a thread! hehe.

Here's my 7L (1.8gal) PICO tank. It's an IQ3 by Dymax

2 LED lights - Dimmable lights, each clip on comes with 28 LED's (Tank comes with one unit but thought i'd upgrade and go "all out" haha)
50W dymax heater - i'm not very impressed with this
200L/hour return pump - gives me 28X flow in the tank
"Bunny drinking bottle" ATO - 500ml

FTS hehe

Haven't scaped the rocks or anything, just chucked in a few pieces Warr gave me

Top down. Run filter floss as well as activated charcoal in the rear. If anyone has like a tablespoon of chemipure elite/purigen to donate i'd appreciate it (else i'll be buying like 10 years worth lol)

Here's a closeup of my bunny drinking bottle ATO. Works like a bomb as soon as water level is below the tube it lets in air release some RO water until tube end is submerged, restoring the vacuum. I attached it to the wall via double sided velcro - super strong stuff - 500ml RO water so hoping it will last about a week.

Blurry pic but just to give an indication of size

Do you rate I can fit a hippo and possibly a yellow tang in there :whistling:

Planning on just stocking it with softies, and perhaps getting a couple sexy shrimp

I think thats so cool!!

Maybe I can get one for my office??

damn matt.....this is a first!!!!

Didn't think you'll go that small.

Woop Woop:yeahdude:

It's like a mini aquarium paper weight...:whistling:Awesome little tank .

These little lights seem more than adequate for the corals, all opened up nicely. Unfortunately i've found aptasia on two of the pieces already :( easier just replacing them than trying to kill the aptasia (also dont want to use any products in this tank as likely a bigger chance of having an effect on the water conditions).

Found about 6 little stars so clean up crew is in! :)

How many bulbs in each LED unit, and are they all white?

28 LED's in each fixture. Yeah they are all white but the tank looks fantastic. Doesn't seem like it needs any actinic. I have seen some clip on Hydor LED's and you can buy actinic - although then i'd have 3 clip on units over this little guy

Best part about these LED's is they are dimmable units! Awesome

Can u give us the full specs & where u got all the stuff?

I would love one in my office at work

Yip, the tank does look fantastic, those LED's look great.

This small water volume means much less room for error. I am by no means a pro reefer, but if you're still getting into reefing make sure you're comfortable with your bigger tank before trying to keep marine animals alive in such a small tank :)

Bought it from VIP in northgate - whole setup excluding extra light and heater

Full specs:
Acrylic tank, with built in rear sump compartment
Total tank volume is 7L (so it's less if you subtract for rock, equipment etc)
Lights units have 28 bright LED's - says 1.6W on the unit so i'm at 2W/gal on this setup - seems plenty bright for coral
Heater - 50W
Thermometer - Dymax digital thermometer
Return pump - Dymax 200L/hour return

Best of all this tank is completely silent :) Can put it anywhere

congrats matt, beats the heall out of bath water, nice little set up. That is 1/3 of the size of my nano, watch thos water changes the salts gonna hammer your pocket.

RE stocking, thor ambioensis (sexy shrimp) are brilliant in such small tanks and they host well in LPS. Some specialised zoas would also look brilliant:)

Power packed package - Absolutely stunning! Even for something this size it still brings out the best of the oceans - well done so far!

Very very nice and cute. Keeping an eye on this one.
Can you give us a price?

I would use the water from my larger tank for water changes.

I would like you only keep one small thing inside it with a coral or 2

Wicked

Told you the forum would enjoy this thread ;)

Sorry about the Aiptasia, but you did take all my microstars :p

thats just measn warr! dont you have one aptasia free stone (anything that size cant really be called a rock!)

oh and ummm CBB is not a viable aptasia sollution matt!:p

Haha Warr yeah thanks and thanks! I was thinking of hammer and chiseling the aptasia pieces out but then i might only be live with live dust? haha

Crispin: Yeah I figured CBB wouldn't cut it alone so might get a school of 'em! If they swim side by side i could probably fit about 6 :)

Quick update, here's my biggest inhabitant
