Macro algae

it's kak,
that cyano is maybe some kind of new strand of cyano dna or something

Everyone gets it and probably has it, i know I have it, but my flow is too hectic for it to settle anywhere
 
mine is still to little, need to upgrade but will rather by corals and other stuff.

Hi Lanzo - these two are Halimeda species.... Very safe - AWESOME macro algae though...
 
Hi Lanzo - must be some form of valonia species.... The only reason I can think of it changing color, is either due to some chemical compound that it requires, that is not available in your tank's water, OR the other way around?
Also, perhaps due to the lighting - it might be "used" to some other type of lighting, and am now getting different lighting to what it is used to...
 
mmm can be the light.
this explains allot, it was under 4 24w t5's with reflectors, no it's under 2 24w t5's without reflectors.
