Liquid carbon dosing

I use only vinegar. I don't use the white vinegar you buy at the shops because they contain a preservative sulphur dioxide and I don't know what that will do to the system. I buy Glacial acetic acid and dilute it to 5% vinegar and dose that. Works great.
It helps with PO4 reduction but I think in a ratio of 1:10 with nitrate where the one part is the PO4, so its a much slower process.

I buy the Glacial acetic acid from my local pharmacy (don't try Dischem, try the small local ones), they order it for me. it comes in 100ml and 500ml bottles.

Have you had a bad experience with regular vinegar? It seems the general consensus worldwide is that it works just fine?

I've also not experience any issues using white spirit vinegar from the store. This is the first I've heard of the pharmaceutical grade.

yip also been using normal store 5% vinager.....works just fine.

TBH I would be more worried about the huge material safety data sheet that pertains to NOPOX than white vinegar

No, but I'm just cautious because I don't want to add more sulphur to the system since there is so much sulphur in the system already with dosing etc. I know they use sulphur reactors to remove nitrates with good effect.
