Hi guys,

I made a little whoopsy last night and spilt a rather wet drink all over my laptop :p It didn't seem to like it that much coz it shut down immediately.:D

Anyway, after a bit of delicate soldering and some cleaning I managed to get the laptop up and running, but I have 2 parts that are defective, firstly the keyboard (I am typing on an el cheapo R49 USB keyboard now, and it's really crap) and the power/volume function board.

Does anybody have contacts in the industry that can get these spare parts for me?

These are the part numbers:

41R7790 - Function board
42T3338 - Keyboard

It's for a Lenovo 3000 N200, Model 0769-BLG

Thanks.

I can check with Tarsus for you on Monday, just remind me.

Maybe prob, as they normally want to do the repair.

Yeah, I've picked up on the net that companies rather do the repairs themselves, which is a bit of a pain as it's only a matter of removing 4 screws and then the components can be easily replaced. Which is why I need a 'contact' that can just get me the spares so I can do it myself without having a week's downtime :)

I hope it's that easy for me, it's really terrible using another keyboard, I'm regretting buying the cheapest one, it really sucks, the buttons are all loose and sit skew and it feels terrible
