i would add a diamondback goby or 2(pair) within hours ur substrate will be sparkling clean,you will be amazed by the aesthetic difference and the diamondback is the most well behaved goby that just cleans and does not mess
2ndly for the health of the regal, i would suggest removing and adding some nicer small species of fish suitable to your tank size

Thanks, yeah we've been wanting to get a gobie or blennie to keep the substrate stirred.
And then the tang, he's still medium sized so if I see him getting too big, I'll put him in our spare 1.2m tank

Over a month have past since the last update, so here it goes.
1stly the hair algae : I think the war is over and we have won. Kept the lights off for about a week, and since then we've only kept on the 3Watt blues and been feeding 1 frozen cube per day instead of 2. Will probably begin increasing the main lights slowly this week.
2ndly, no new fish or coral added but everything doing great, especially the shrooms, which are growing very fast.

Pleasure, prices are reasonable, but because there are only 2 marine shops in PE, they could basically ask what they want, but hey, no one ever said this hobby was cheap haha.
