Is it worth to try fix a tank

I got a second hand tank off Facebook marketplace its 120Lx 45W x 50H

I found a leak at the bottom right after filling it with sand and rock.

Its a euro braced tank so the question is - is it worth it to try a repair or replacement of the bottom panel ?

Is there anyone in Capetown who offers tank repairs or even recycling services ?

Well it depends how much you paid for it and how bad the damage is. If no glass is cracked the silicone can be cut and tank resealed.
Try Post some photos of the tank and area where the tank is leaking

This is a top down of the tank.

It was a second hand off Facebook marketplace so maybe that was my first mistake

I suspect so. Might need to just replace the entire bottom

Those bottom bracing also dont look they are siliconed properly- it should be pressed down will wet to create a seal with no air

Yes - i think remove those bracing pieces and clean up silicone - then get some Den Braven Marine Silicone and redo it

Maybe just clean and reseal around the edges of the bracing and the patch and water test again before replacing the entire bottom.
