Someone I know found this creature on the west coast. I told them I'll post it here so can anyone ID this please.

Looks like goose barnacles growing around a yellowish bit of junk in the middle. need better pics
Those are goose barnacles (Lepas spp.). The cream ball thing (actually looks like a potato??) is not part of the ceature, but the substrate that the barnacles attached too. You often find barnacles attached to harbour structures or washed ashore after heavy storms.
