The conditions were pretty bleak this weekend, with massive swell and resultant murky water, but it's no longer as cold as it's been. There have been rumours of fish being caught already? There are tons of pelagic fry in all of the rock pools, but I haven't seen anything else, not even Anthias.

Sooo... who's seen what? Or what are you hoping to catch this season?

 Man, that's a lot of lead. That's gotta be worth something? And it gets you into shape for the season.

Do you guys follow the predictions ito El Nino /La Nina? and any theories on what the influence is for us?
Last season = strong La Nino and our waters were cooler than usual.
I think at the moment there is a weak La Nina, predicted towards end of year.

    Hi All

We are preparing to reopen the Aquarium section at Bayworld in December and looking for photos of species of Tropical Vagrants that we are likely to collect and display from the Transkei. If you have good photos of commonly caught juvenile tropicals that you would be happy for us to use please let me know.
Surgeons, Wrasse, Damsels, Angels, Butterflies, Goldies, Cardinals, Sharpnose puffers/tobies (canthigasters), etc. If we decide to use your photo we would obviously acknowledge the photo as yours.

    Regards Steve

Rather send them direct to my email as attachments, preferably NOT made smaller, thus only one at a time is best. Please check PM for email address.

Awesome! Went to fetch water last night, and it's clean and around 19-20C after all of the SW wind. Can't wait to get into the water on the weekend.
