Im back again.
Man posting all these pics takes time.
But I’m almost up to date.
This is my top up tank. To solve the extra water evaporation problem on the tank with the DIY chiller.
Would have liked to put the outlet at the bottom of the tank but there wasn’t space.
So had to put it on the side panel. 50mm from the bottom.
And thats the top up.

Hey jou Yster, looks G8 so far. I spoke to Goby last night, I might sell you some cured LR, got plenty in my QT.
Another way of fitting the side panels on a steel frame, use small round magnets, just drill holes halfway in the wood and glue the magnets in the holes. Panels can be taken of when you work in the sump area.
Just remember "IF" something happens to your sump it will be a hasle to take it out, just a thought. Keep up the good work Chris.

I got some new fish, LR and coral.
One Yellow tang, one Zoa, one seastar and 7.2KG of LR.

My biggest and nicest fish yet.
I love this fish man.
That little gray dot on the rock. That’s my sea star.

if its flat and a very broad star almost like a ducks foot, its a cushion star

How are you controlling the ater top off?
the fans work well and just a note that with the back of your stand not enclosed, you could put the fans over the sump and they would work as well if not better there !
Oh an you may want to consider some sort of live rock stand !

Hey, i've seen that Tang somewhere-someplace before, looks really GOOD.
I think i should sponsor you a nice Recordia ( Eliphant Ear ) would you like some. Maybe the Nemos will host in it.

The top up will be done manualy for now.
That red lever. Thats a tap to open when i need to top up the dsb return chamber.
So if i put fans inside the cubert behind the sump that the fans blow over the sump it will also be good?
I want to get some kind of stand like egg grating but i dont know where.
What else can i use?
This will also then make the flow beter between the LR and not let any crap trap on the sides of the LR?
Do i need more LR?
What is the suggested about of LR per 10L of water? Is it 1KG per 10L?

I just added more LR to my tank.
Got 32KG of LR now.
That should be ok.
I’m also biz with the electrical wiring of the fan unit and a made a piece of wood to support my top up tank piping and i put two bras nobs on the doors.

Only put them in the skimmer chamber.
My work bench.
Biz with the fan unit wiring.
Gona put PC Molex connectors on the fan unit so it can be removed if you want to.
I’m gona put two switches on so i can turn 4 x fans on at a time.
Then later ill modify it with a thermostat so it switches on automatically.
