Yeah im very privelaged to have got in, have to make the most of it, dont worry you gonna have some competition for automation :p ill be involved in technical sales so i know where to get the good stuff lol, shane the logo is very basic the one brett is using now got the touch screen interface and all that, very very cool,

Do you know where I could look at getting a basic PLC from?
I dont have a Pc or lap top so would need something at is programmable on the unit itself. I was looking for something to control my light unit.

now you just need automate the viewer of the tank.......that way you wont be irritated by having to actually sit and enjoy your tank....lol.

Awesome automation.......I'm still into tweaking and checking everything manually but thats the part of this hobby I enjoy.

The logo can be programme on the interface on the plc but its slow and annoying, im not really sure where you would be able to get them either,
 
Hey guys!

yes Im still alive =) I got offered a job in JHB I couldnt refuse so Ive been there since november last year. got shipped over literally after my last exam.

I see my tank every so often on a weekend visit. my mom has been kind enough to feed them and clean the glass every so often and I got some guys to do the maintenance.

However.. Im paying alot of money to keep it going but getting no satisfaction from it as I never see it. Wish I could move it up with me =(

I also havnt had the time to do what I originally planned because I havnt had the time. I even have all the equipment. I got 5 100w LED's lying here waiting to light up my system but no time..

So I have made the decision to put my system on pause. I will be selling my livestock soon.

On a good note though.. the tank is running very well, except for some cyano.

After a very long shutting down process.. my system is finally for sale in the for sale threads.

This is however not the end=) im looking for a nano for the mean time :thumbup:

Before we close this thread. I travel between gauten and durban very often with my job so anyone looking for tranport of some livestock and equipment.. just shout :thumbup:
