Hey Guys, saw somewhere on the net the other day someone breeding Pipefish.
Has anyone given it a go here in SA with any success yet??
Was thinking of maybe putting a pair in a nano and well....

Go for it, any idea what the babies eat? If it is rotifers I think you're going to struggle to find them in SA.

Cool

Sounds like a cool Idea..We like the Nano lol:thumbup:

Back to food for rearing fry. This is one of the biggest challenges a breeder faces. @Lucky Fish will no doubt confirm. A fresh, daily nutritional food source is imperative to a successful hatch. So the breading part is relatively easy. The rearing of the fry is the challenge and time consuming.

According to some of the info I googled they will take Artemia, and don't need the smaller rotifers!? Babies are apparently quite large!
