hi thanks
its nice to have in your sump but not growing all over your DT and corals

Some guys find it difficult to sustain specially the red ones.. but it's good and bad coz the fact that it's growing shows excess nutrients .but good in a balanced system

Reduce nutrients ;)
& increase flow

Adding a bacteria (carbon)source is quick way and natural way is to increase waterchanges

Have you put some chaeto into your sump yet? If not, get some and set the lighting to about 20hours. This will outcompete the red algae. The red algae in your DT is easier to extract than green hair algae. Siphon it off with a thin pipe and it should break off.
I just started using a siphon which goes into a filter sock in my sump. It saves a lot of water changes and allows me to siphon for a long time.
You should also do the biocubes thing.

Hi
Any other advice how to get rid of this algae, I have added bio cubes and phosguard but its growing better than ever ?

what herbivores do you have?

I have the same growing on some rocks...my convict eats it...so he keeps it in controll.

I have 3 big turbo snails, 2 hermits, 1 emerald crab, 5 Nerite snails and a Tomini tang.

Just think my tank is to small (90x50x50)?
My tank is 70 x 60 x 45....my tang is happy...i know when he gets too big i will move him to a bigger tank...or donate to bayworld...

Do you think a tuxedo urchin will eat the algae?
