Got 3 tiny red legged hermits today, awesome little guys. But noticed 1 has lost a lot of legs (must've been from shipping) he isn't very mobile compared to his little friends. If I spot feed him daily will he be ok and grow his legs back?

Not much else you can do besides micro crustacean surgery.

He will be fine once he is mobile:thumbup:

wont matches and epoxy work for now?

Please this is the 21st Century, Carbon Nano Tubes, and micro electronics all hooked directly into the brain. Forget about "Man van Staal", it will be Bionic Hermit scourge of algae and defender of the weak.

He's doomed, best to put him out of his misery with a 14 pound hammer.

But seriously, I don't know, do hermits grow back their legs?

as long as they are healthy the new legs will come out when they molt

Well let just say he can move about 5cm per day at the moment. i'll keep target feeding him and see how it goes ;)

Matt, legs will grow back, hope you acclimatized those boys properly, I had a couple die because I didn't, enjoy

Hey guys - yes - the hermit should DEFINITELY grow back his legs. Nature is wonderful in that way... ;-)
I have seen hermit with deformities (not enough iodine in the water) due to "malfunctioning molting".... next time they molt - ALL perfect again.
