Yeah they do, and yes they are awesome fish, but oh so messy, not a nice thing to say but I was rather glad when my yellow jawfish passed on, he was really irritating me with his messy habits.

I have 2 jawfish that are quite small and I think they are great, yes they may stir a bit of shit up in the tank but at least then it does not settle in your tank and rot away. I have seen in Wizzards tank that his pair do scatter a bit of gravel about but not enough to chuck them out.
I think my wrasse burying themselves sometimes makes more of a mess. Personally I think every tank should have one ! (This is my opinion so no one may shout at me)

i agree.the wrasses do make a bigger mess than the jawfish

Anthony i have never been sorry that i ever got my yellow jawfish I can sit and watch him for hours. Yes he does get the sand out from under some of the front rock, but with all the hermit crabs and the 3 tangs (Doctor, Regal and the Sailfin all picking on it, the sand cleasr and levels out again within a day or 2. I have quite a large tunnel under the rocks with the corals on top and i find that he does not go above the rocks, only around the ones used as pedestals.

Hi Ant ,i have hade a few yellow headed jawfish over the years and have not had a problem with them except once ,one of my fish tunneled under a rock and caused the rock to collapse and kill the fish but besides that i still think there are great.
