chuck the out boyu skimmer, i've just put a tiny Weirpro SA 2003 that i bought from Aquatic Pet City in Tableview in my Boyu tl550 and it works a dream. You must do all the standard mods as well.

Can you PLEASE elaborate on the "mods" you did on the WeiPro?

Another suggestion I would want to give, is to look at the ReefOctopus BH-100 hangon skimmer. WORKS AWESOMELY!

no mods on weirpro just placed it in the second chamber with some spacers to get the height right. much more effective than the standard setup. I also have removed all foam, bioballs and ceramics and have substituted with live rock, carbon and a peppermint shrimp in case of any aptasia. NAAC have visited and consumed beer and have given me a quote for the next tank, Gulp...... how to sneak in a 2 M monster....
