Surely you can give an estimate, since the exchange route does not generally double/halve within a day...

My staff are not allowed to estimate prices. We had too many instances with clients demanding the price that was quoted even if it was just an estimate.

The factors that play a role in our pricing are:
  • R / $ exchange
  • Packing costs
  • Freight cost
  • Clearing cost
  • AND the biggest unknown is BAG SIZE
NOT DOA's - that is between me and the supplier not passed on to our clients.

Calculate for yourself a 5% mistake average on each, lead to a 27.93% mistake and with freight making up to more than 50% of the costs even a 20% mistake on weight is easily possible.

THEREFORE - do not quote on something without Moolis's OK. and on sea hares a mistake is more than possible. some landed with 800g of water and some landed with 2KG. Thus no estimate.
