Some softies

Nice colony :) try and mount it on a stone so that the babies are off the substrate.. if possible. When they are hungry the polyps are sticky and they will respond quicker once they get the idea. When they are full they extend and the polyps lose their stickiness. Try and feed the babies individually or put a bowl over them and squirt the brine shrimp so that it flows over the coral.

I saw only after I took the pic there's some babies on the substrate. I agree, they will have to be moved. Only reason they're on the shingle is that they're under an overhang there. I've got two overhangs for corals like this not looking for a lot of light, but I'll just mount him on another rock, and then put it under the same overhang...

I am feeding individually, with a syringe. Going good, this I do after I've fed all the others, and the fish, and it prevents the fish and inverts from trying to steal their chow. They were quite receptive to the food.

Just my clowns now giving me trouble during feeding. The female hits me with her tail when I feed their nennie :p

Sun corals :) you can feed them with a turkey baster and then cover them with a clear jar. We feed them with brine shrimp and they open when we put food into the tank for the other fish. We take them out of the tank, but it is not possible to do so in every tank so that is why I mentioned covering them in the tank, because the fishies pinch their food. Try and feed them at the same time every third day, say at 19h00. Then the coral will open the moment it senses the food in the tank.
We have t5 lights and they are not too stressed by them as well.

Hey Tom, I wanted to ask you still,

Where did you get this advice, or was it trial and error?

Kanga feeds his corals using the upside down jar. And we do them outside the tank. The majority of advice is feed it in the tank. So... We have to be opposite ;)

No man, that's not why I ask. I spoke to Shawn here from the LFS, Finny (where I baught the sun from) and I mentioned how I'm feeding it. He then asked me where I got the advice, and I said from you. He said he gave that same advice to another oke in PE about 3-4 years ago, so he just would have liked to know if it was you...

See, no foul intentions :whistling: ;)

Just said I'll find out from you.

Ha ha Reaper.. No offense taken or intentions perceived.. I got the advice off SARK but still decided to feed the babies outside. We just like doing it the hard way
