Royal Gramma

I haven't had any problems with my false gramma, he's a cheeky bugger but the other fish don't put up with his nonsense. Colour wise for a nano they are awesome and Hardy as old boots.
Gali what fish you looking on keeping ?

Not sure DR, my options are somewhat limited. I have a yellow clown goby already, so I am not sure if I can keep another goby in the tank. With respect to fish I want three, one is the yellow clown goby, I will also get a clown and then one other small fish. Was looking a a fire goby, but not sure if it and the yellow clown giby will get along in such a small setup.

Well I must have got a bad one - he even charges the bag when I float new fish in his area of the sump, I once floated a shrimp in there and he went banannas - maybe I should get a clip of it so you can all understand what I mean. When I setup the new tank I'm gonna have a tank for him in the sump room and he will be branded the punisher so if any fish cause shit they will be put into his tank for a little TLC....

sims u merciless !!!

If that was true then I would have flushed him  - as far as I think the bugger has cost me alot of cash in fish and alot more bitching from the GF as in her eyes I killed all those fish and srimps. He is lucky I have given him a space to swim and even luckier I have filled it with water...

Does anuone know if I can keep a fire goby with a yellow clown goby? I get mixed reports from google.

Quote from: The Mini Reef Aquarium Jeffrey Kurtz... The Royal Gramma was specifically designed to serve as the pefect mini reef inhabitant. G loreto will co exist peacefully with most other reef friendly species, showing aggression only towards conspecifics and interlopers attempting to enter its cave, which it will defend with vigor.
Quote From: The Nano Reef Handbook Chris R Brightwell ... one species, the Royal Gramma(Gramma Loreto) is hardy even tempered and affordable. Members of this family are relatively mild mannered(particularly when compared to the Dotty Backs) leaving most tankmates too large to swallow alone.
Quote From: Marine Fishes Scott W Michael....a hardy intenselycolourful aquarium fish that tends to do well even for beginner aquarists. It is generally non aggressive, but will viciously defend its preferred hiding place from intrusion. An irregular vertical reef wall or an overhang of live rock will replicate its natural habitat........will build nests and spawn in captivity.

Quote:Nano Reef Handbook The Firefish... There are 3 members of this family commonly encountered that fit the criteria for nano reef residency The Purple Fire fish The Helrichs Firefish and The Fire fish ie respectively Nemateleotris decora..N magnifica...N helfrichi. Members of this famly are timid and should be kept with fishes of a similar temperament. They do not appreciate conspecifics and therefore recomended that they be maintained singly in the nano reef

SIMS have you tried putting a mirror in your sump..
