This my new RO unit. Just want to make sure is the top connector the discarded water and the bottom connector the ro water. Dont seem to be getting water at the bottom on but only from the top one.

Yes, top one is the waste water, do you have a flow restrictor on the waste line? It looks like it but pic is a bit unclear.

Yes I have one. I think the pump feeding the ro unit is a bit small. Added a booster pump to the line now it is helping but not as it should be. Will need to install a bigger pump.

Is it a proper RO booster pump? You need some really good pressure for it to get through the membrane.

I am very upset. Even buying a new unit doesn't guarantee you wont have problems. My floor was flooded thanks to one of the fittings popping off. The thread was stripped where the fitting screwed in. Now I had to clean all the water up. Was busy till 2am this morning. So as a word of caution to everyone. Check that all your fittings are fastened properly before even using it. I will be taking all the fittings off and will be installing them using pvc glue on the thread.

Hi EFJ If your fittings are normal 1/8 BSP is it possible to change them to BSPT T for taper. Usually forks well no leaks

Just a question. I am not sure if it has been asked before. At the moment I use my waste water for my freshwater tank and my plants but a lot of water just ends up on the grass. Now this is where my question comes in, can I have my ro waste water feed back into my jojo drum so then it will be re-filtered again, so less waste water and the water gets recycled?

Good Morning EFJ,
Tnx for the post, I have the exact same RO unit and it seems I have been using the wrong water in my tank as I thought the top connection with the flow restriction was the RO water. There was no instructions in the box and the internet was not much help. I will now swop the pipes and use the water from the bottom connection in my tank instead.

Glad this post helped. Just check your 2 main fittings at the bottom cartridges as mine just popped off. Had to wind it up thick with thread seal tape.
