Nice setup, you were running 3 tanks on your system. Would you suggest the same UPS but less batteries for a tank setup.
Actually 4 tanks. But excl. lights, chillers and all but 1 heater. Cannot use fewer batteries - 5 are needed to provide 60V.

On your website "It has five 102A, 12V batteries"
Are these car batteries or Lead Calcuim batteries (ouch - expensive)
The UPS, is that only to regulate the power from the batteries then?
Dunno. It is the Deep Cycle Deltec 1250 batteries. I paid R998 per battery... So is it Calcium?
hi guys and gals hope u all had a good christmas and new year, and are are all ready for a heavy year with eishkom's power cuts.
I have heard about a smaller electric generator which is plugged into a normal 220V and kicks in when there is a power cut and runs for average 5 hrs and when the power is on again it recharges. Has anyone heard or seen about it they are about R4000 and are suitable for the tanks. My father has only seen them in Jhb not in Dbn.
mekaeel im using a 3kva ups which can run my tank for 7 hours
how much did you pay for it?and what does it run on your tank?

I have the 1000VA. Nice, but the battery is small. Not designed for extended run times. With my external battery pack on my other UPS I can run for 5 hours on 90% load - which is about 1800W. But it all depends on how long you want to run what equipment.
so what would be the ideal UPS,just to run the return pump and 1 resun wavemaker and cost wise?
