Newbie with a tl450

My Tl450 after almost a month!

Would love better lighting but after a bit of research im struggling to find tl450 light modifications.

More than willing to lend a hand. Just tell what you have done and we can perhaps advise you on what to do to get it sorted.

Thanks so much, actually have done nothing yet as it has the stock standard lights in that it comes with. Would like recomendations if any of u have experience with these tanks or something not to expensive i can buy and still keep the lid?
 
As long as you aren't too worried about uncontrollably you can get away with a fairly cheap led solution for your tank. If the light cover is still in good condition then you can just gut the current lights internals and build a simple LED fixture to fit in there.

There is off the shelf option but they can pricey.

It would be great if you could share a photo of the hood with dimensions and I sure others and myself will have few ideas, to tell you the truth there should be many guys here who have done these kinds of conversions before. I will search for a thread or two and post them here.

Looking good, my only comment would be to consider swapping out the pali polip coral on the far left. If they get unhappy they will wipe out your tank or poison you, some people even die from them.

Definitely bubble algae. With proper nutrient control it can be taken care of and it will become less over time.
Alternatively, (probably not an option) killing off the rock and restarting with clean dead rock is your best bet.

I use my burning laser to kill the algae. That way it doesn't spread at all because the spores contained inside the bubble are also destroyed by the laser radiation. I kill Aiptasia the same way.

Nice nano. Nice variety of corals.
 
Very busy little nano, looks cool. The shape of that monti is nice too, how far is it from the glass? Would be interesting to watch it reach the glass and grow up it.
